As part of the Young Kenyan Leader project Kenyan students were asked to vote for the leader past or present that had most inspired them. 3,284 votes were received for 230 nominations. The top ten receiving the most votes were:

‘LEAD-ON!’ COMPETITION RESULTS
In October and November 2009 the Mbegu Trust ran the ‘Lead On!’ competition open to all secondary school students in Kenya in which they were asked to write an article on the theme of ‘the leadership we need to build the Kenya and Africa we want’. The eight winning students will receive 20,000 Ksh each and their schools 100,000 Ksh each! Click here for winners & runners-up

CARTOON COMPETITION
The Young Kenyan Leader project also included a separate cartoon competition in which students were asked to draw a cartoon on the subject of ‘leadership’, or the Kenya or Africa they live in, or want for the future. Click here to some of the winning cartoons chosen from nearly 1,000 entries.
SECONDARY SCHOOL`S NEEDS ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE
